How to use YOBIOKO

YOBIOKO is an alarm app that stops when you type today's tasks. This guide walks you through it in order.

1. Add tasks

  1. Open the Tasks tab.
  2. Tap “+” and type something to do. It can be a morning routine or an everyday errand such as shopping.
  3. To be told at a set time, choose a time under Reminder.
  4. For things you do regularly, set Repeat to daily or to certain weekdays.

Short tasks work best. You will type them in the morning, so keep them easy to read at a glance, like “Take out the trash”. See How to write tasks that are easy to type.

2. Set an alarm

  1. Open the Alarms tab.
  2. Tap “+” and choose a time.
  3. Choose the weekdays. For a one-time alarm, tap “Once only”.
  4. Check that “Type tasks to stop” is on, then save.

The first time you save, the app asks you to allow alarms and notifications. Once allowed, the alarm rings even in silent mode.

3. Stop the alarm

  1. When the alarm rings, tap “Type tasks”.
  2. The tasks you have not finished yet appear. Type each one as shown.
  3. When you finish the last task, the alarm stops.

4. See your result

When you finish, you see that morning's score (out of 1000) and your type. The score comes from speed, accuracy, steadiness and recovery. Your records build up in the Insights tab.

5. Use the wake-up check

Turn on “Wake-up check” on an alarm's edit screen. 10 minutes after you finish typing, a silent notification arrives. If you do not tap it within 3 minutes, the alarm rings once more.

6. Try it without an alarm

Tap “Practice” on the Alarms screen to type today's tasks without waiting for an alarm.
